EAP Counselling

NTPF, NTFES & Workplace Support

M.C.E. Studios provide confidential counselling services for employees accessing support through their workplace Employee Assistance Program (EAP), including:

  • Northern Territory Police Force (NTPF)

  • Northern Territory Fire and Emergency Services (NTFES)

Sessions are available in Darwin or online across the Northern Territory, offering accessible, professional support when it’s needed. After-hours and Saturday appointments are available, supporting access around shift work, operational demands, and personal commitments.

Who this service supports

This EAP is available to eligible people connected to NTPF and NTFES, including:

  • Employees and volunteers

  • Immediate family members (where eligible)

  • Cadets, legatees, and separated employees (within eligibility timeframes)

All clients require a Wellbeing Services client ID number, which confirms eligibility and supports service coordination.

A confidential and independent space

EAP counselling is delivered on the basis of client confidentiality, alongside coordinated support with Wellbeing Services.

  • Client information is managed in line with professional obligations and privacy legislation

  • Limited information may be shared with Wellbeing Services where required to support:

    • eligibility confirmation

    • client ID allocation

    • service approvals

    • duty of care considerations

    • reporting requirements

As part of accessing the service, clients complete the Wellbeing Services Informed Consent form, which outlines how information is managed.

How counselling works

The General Stream is the usual starting point:

  • Short-term, solution-focused support

  • Up to 6 one-hour sessions per issue, per financial year

  • Suitable for personal, family, or work-related concerns impacting wellbeing

Further support may be available through additional service streams, with approval or referral from Wellbeing Services.
